Don Lemon

  Don Lemon, born March 1st, 1966, is an American television journalist. He was born in Baton Rouge in Louisiana and anchors newscasts on weekends at local stations in Alabama, Pennsylvania, during his first days as an editor. Lemon was later an anchor for news for NBC and worked on shows such as Today as well as NBC Nightly News. He was hired by CNN as a reporter in the year 2006. Then, he was a well-known presenter on CNN Tonight in 2014 after the start of his career. Lemon was also awarded the Edward R. Murrow Award and three regional Emmy Awards. Don Lemon Tonight is hosted by Lemon. Don Lemon was born March 1st, 1966 in Baton Rouge (La.) to Katherine Marie (Bouligney), and Wilmon Lee (Richardson). His father, who was a prominent lawyer, was a part of an unsuccessful lawsuit that challenged the segregation of the public transport system in Baton Rouge. Lemon was born under the name of his mother's husband . He found out that Wilmon was his father when he was only five years old. His ancestry is predominantly African-American, Creole, and Creole. His maternal grandmother, who was a black mother, was the daughter of a Scots-Irish father as well as white mother. Baker High School was his high school for public students. It's situated within East Baton Rouge Parish. Lemon was elected as class president during the senior year of his education. Lemon was a student of broadcast journalism at Louisiana State University. He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1996. He worked as an intern at WNYW while attending Brooklyn College. He worked as a reporter for NBC affiliates in Philadelphia, Chicago and St. Louis for a number of years.
