Adam Saleh
Adam Saleh was the son of Yemeni parents and was born in Brooklyn, New York City. After going to Manhattan Center For Science and Mathematics High School for three years, he was expelled by his dean following a hit to the computer. This was in response to his racist comments about his mother. His goal for his future was to become an attorney. Saleh lost his uncle in a vehicle accident, just days before the wedding ceremony of his cousin. Saleh says that his uncle was as a cheerful person who was a vital member of his family. When he died in such tragic circumstances it caused his family to be grieving. Saleh said that the passing of his father left a traumatic mark on his family. He also said in the past that this was the main reason he didn't have an driver's license. In the course of his YouTube channel "TrueStory ASA", he began creating videos on YouTube in 2012 along with his high school classmates Abdullah Ghuman, Sheikh Akbar and other YouTubers. His main career aspiration was to become an attorney. His dance talents earned his national recognition when he was an interviewer on The Ellen DeGeneres show. The day before his Ellen show appearance was to be made, he was given an exam to pass and decided to appear to Ellen; he later described it as the pivotal moment in his life as a full-time YouTuber. Saleh dropped "Diamond Girl" as a TrueStory ASA single on May 3 in 2015. The song featured Mumzy Stranger and Sheikh Akbar and Mumzy Stranger. His first solo single "Tears" with Zack Knight was released on August 16, 2015, as tribute to his father and uncle. Following the time that TrueStory ASA ended, Saleh took over both the main and vlog channels and renamed them "Adam Saleh" and "Adam Saleh Vlogs". There was much controversy over what caused the split. There are rumors that the issue was between Saleh or Akbar. A majority of Saleh fans blame their manager.
