Susan Sarandon Bio

It was after the 1968 Democratic convention, and there was a casting call for a film that had several parts for young individuals who disrupted the convention. Two recent graduates from Catholic University in Washington DC were invited to auditions in New York for Joe (1970). Chris Sarandon, who had trained to become an actor, was turned by. His wife Susan was offered the role as Susan Compton. Susan is the daughter of Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). In the film Dad Bill kills Susan's drug dealer boyfriend and next befriends Joe (Peter Boyle)-- a bigot who works on an assembly line and who has a collection of guns.Five years later, Sarandon made the film in which fans of classic films have come to recognize her character Janet who becomes involved with transvestite Dr. Frank n Furter in The The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). After more than 15 years of making her debut, Sarandon finally fought to be cast in a memorable role, Annie in Bull Durham (1988), travelling herself from Rome from Rome to Los Angeles. "It had such a great script... It did remove a number of mythsand challenged American definitions of success," she stated. "I went to the studio with Kevin Costner, sex some actors in the studio, and then I got back on a plane. Tim Robbins, her Bull Durham (1988) as a supporting actor was her first love. He had two sons by the year 1992. This left Sarandon in an awkward position. She would leave her home to perform the roles that were extremely challenging.
